jadite salt shaker

Paca score of the century! Well, not really but, I'm pretty cized on it. I've been pining for an old jadite salt shaker forever. I spook them on etsy all the time and they are always way too pricey for me but, I've kept up hope that one day I'd find an affordable one. Look no more I will (Yoda voice).
I found this one for Q5 yesterday...that's less than a dollar and I didn't even bargain on the price!
It's already washed, dried, filled with salt and in action.
Ohh, it's the little things....
And don't you think it'll be the perfect salt shaker for our little farm? I do.

i heart vintage leather.

The more distressed the better. The more battered and forgotten about the leather looks, the more I like it! I think that might be why I've found such badass leather bags here for a song!!

1st find! Cinammon Brown Leather Backpack Q20.
So practical. I use it for market shops & overnighters.

Most recent find: Oxblood Leather Bag with Wooden Handles. Q10

Pricey one! Warm Brown Soft Leather Bag Q30
I fell for this bag & passed it up b/c it was Q40; thought
about it for a week & went back with the luck to actually
find it in the crazy ass Minvera pacas. And I got it for Q10
less! Woohoo! It's a great bag..the straps adjust to two
lengths, there is one main pocket in the middle and then FOUR
huge saddle bag type pockets-two on each side...this bag
holds so much! la la love it.

luck + me = sweet tv with a dope cozy

Flat screen tv covered, when not in use, with childs huipil from Todos Santos.
Lucky: 1. Recently was given a sweet little flat screen tv*. 2. We have free cable. Me: Really happy to have it. But, it can't just stare me down all the time.
TV Cozy: Used traje. A little girls huipil from Todos Santos.

This is a great solution for me. I get to look at something that I admire so much while at the same time concealing the television screen and keeping it dust free while not in use. Win, win.

*Haven't had tv in over a year. Recently I stayed a long weekend at a besties house in the states and her husband gave me a tv. It's just right, small, light weight flat screen. I surprised Zach with it....we are so grateful! It's so much fun to have it! We get a channel from Germany, one from Italy, and one from France. A bunch from Mexico and South America...it's really cool to see news and stuff from other countries.  Not to go on but, there are a few good movie channels too. El Pelicula plays really old Spanish movies 24/7...always a great go-to and it's really helping me with my Spanish! Oh, another great thing is that they let all the cussing fly here. Nothing is bleeped out and it's great! To just hear people speak for real and uninterrupted. Bueno Onda!

Meg of Nest's Nest.

Just a super quick peak at one wall in Meg's more than delightful home!

I had the pleasure of visiting with the Coles the beginning of Dec. It's always fun to see what Meg has done with their Nest, I don't think things stay the same very much in that household (as far as decor goes...it's eye candy galoure!) This wall was above their dining room table. It is simple as can be but, freaking great!!! Just love it!

Groovy orange hunk of a couch! It's been listed for a few weeks now and the price is down to $100!!

I adore Heywood Wakefield, I might have to go as far to say it's my fav?? This set of tables is a total find and score! Price not listed.
I have one Heywood Wakefield piece. It's a table with the grey walnut finish. It is the only piece of furiture that survived my moves from NY to Portland, Or & then here to Florida.

etsy front page!

one of my sidedish items (one that i am most fond of!!!) was on the front page of etsy. that's always exciting! it was the brass peanut! which i think is just the cat's pajamas! over 400 people have looked at it and no one has bought it yet. hmmmpf! if they could see it in person, it would have been snatched up many many views ago.

WMNF's bazaar was a total score!!

I had the pleasure of owning a super rad house in upstate NY once upon a time. I have no relics of it and no pictures either....sad, I know. But, at MNF's bazaar I ran across this fantastic tray featuring the Finger Lakes!! I lived there! I owned a bad ass house there! And the little town is on the tray which I had to have at the whopping price of 2 bucks! It's home.
